This Policy constitutes a binding agreement between you and Zumbudda
You will not be able to use Zumbudda’s Services without providing Personal Information. By using these Services you agree to Zumbudda processing (i.e. collecting, transmitting, maintaining, amending, deleting and/or using) your Personal Information ad outlined in this Agreement.
Personal Information defined:
“Personal Information” includes information that alone or when in combination with other information may be used to identify or contact you, such as: name, address, email address or phone number. All your information and communications when using Zumbudda also form part of your personal information, as well as the information and communication with the Experts you choose. Experts will be asked to provide additional personalised information (such as experience, qualifications, areas of interest, profession, etc.) and unique identifiers (such as screen name) so that Zumbudda may provide a more personalised experience on this Service.
Purpose of- and limitations to processing
Zumbudda will not sell, share or rent the information collected through Zumbudda’s Services in ways different from what is disclosed in the User and Expert Agreements. By consenting to Zumbudda’s Agreements, you agree and acknowledge that Zumbudda may collect, process and transfer any information, private or otherwise, so long as Zumbudda does so for the purpose for which it was collected.
Use and Acceptance
The information furnished will be kept in Zumbudda’s database however such means are not fault-proof and Zumbudda will therefore not be liable for any direct, indirect, consequential or incidental damage sustained due to unauthorised access to the database. All clients of Zumbudda consent to the collecting and possessing of Client Information for normal business use.
Type of information Zumbudda collects:
If you engage in a communication with a Zumbudda’s Help or Information Service using Zumbudda’s, email or Live Chat Technology, or if you engage in a pre or post-interaction rating survey (“Survey”), you will be providing, or otherwise be asked to provide, Personal Information, such as your name, contact information and other information to facilitate this service.
Zumbudda does not screen or edit the content of communication between Experts and Users but may copy, transmit and review communications conducted for technical support and/or in order to uphold the terms of the Agreement.
You may sign up to receive information, news and other content related to new and existing Zumbudda products and services, events and other information related to Zumbudda that may be of interest to you. You will be asked to provide Personal Information, such as contact details and other information, relevant to delivering such news and information. We will retain such information.
You may participate in one or more communities offered by Zumbudda .You may also make use of public bulletin boards when available to Users and Experts to pose questions or service requests. You may be asked to provide Personal Information, such as contact details, and other information prior to becoming a member of any such community or posting information on a public bulletin board. Zumbudda shall retain such information.
In the event that you participate in any message board or blog on Zumbudda’s website or sub-sites you will be required to agree to the terms under “Community, Bulletin Boards, Blogs”. If you post messages or comments on Zumbudda’s message boards or blogs, such information that you post cannot be held confidential.
Other terms may apply to your use of one or more of the Zumbudda communities. Such terms are made available when you sign up to become a member of any Zumbudda community.
If you are using the Zumbudda’s Services outside of the Republic of South Africa, you will be served by the international version of the website and this may feature advertising that is tailored and more relevant to you.
We don’t sell, share or rent the information collected by cookies, nor do we disclose the information to third parties, except where required by law (for example to government bodies and law enforcement agencies applying a specific law).
If you require technical support related to Zumbudda’s Services, you will need to send us a request via email defining and clarifying your technical support request. When submitting a technical support request, you will be asked to provide Personal Information, including an email address and a description of the issue. We maintain copies of all technical support requests with our technical services department and other related queries for quality control purposes.

Zumbudda may offer promotions from time to time. If we do, and if you wish to participate, you may be required to provide Personal Information, such as contact information and other information. We retain such information.
Zumbudda may also, from time to time send e-mail advertisements to Users and Experts, whether the material is its own or furnished by third parties. Users and Experts will be given the opportunity to ‘opt-out’ of receiving such information. This information will be requested during the registration process which has an ‘opt-out’ mechanism to allow for removal of newsletters, promotions and Users and Experts can choose to ‘opt-out’ by following the appropriate procedure within their respective accounts at any time.
Surveys and Ratings:
Surveys and ratings provided by Users on Expert profiles are public and are identified by the User’s Screen Name.
Personal Information such as that contained on a resume or curriculum vitae may be submitted to Zumbudda via the website or sub-sites in connection with a job offered by Zumbudda. Any information supplied by or on behalf of an applicant for a job may be retained by Zumbudda as well as third parties performing recruitment and/or other employment-related services. Please note that Zumbudda may have additional privacy terms that apply to job applicants. Such terms will be made available when an applicant applies for a job or, if applicable, when an applicant otherwise accesses his or her job account.
Zumbudda reserves the right to partner with another party to provide specific services or goods. When an Expert or User is linked to another partner site, the Terms and Conditions of Use of this partner site will apply.
Zumbudda may divulge to a third party personally identifiable information and transaction details when so authorized by the User or a lawor where there are any legal proceedings between Zumbudda and the User/Expert. Zumbudda may disclose personal information in terms of laws that authorize such disclosure, such as the National Health Act requiring action to be taken in emergency situations or through legislation protecting the rights of children.
Users and Experts in countries outside of the Republic of South Africa (RSA)
Because Zumbudda is based on South Africa, privacy legislation as applicable in South Africa, applies to all transactions, information provided and all communications. Your personal information will therefore be stored in South Africa, and all transactions are subject to South African law. Please note that you are transferring your personal data to the Republic of South Africa and when providing your personal data you consent to that transfer to Zumbudda.
In the event of any dispute relating to personal information and/or the use of your- or any third party personal information, South African law shall apply and you hereby consent to the jurisdiction of the South African courts, situated in Johannesburg.
Community, Bulletin Boards and Blogs
When using communities, groups or bulletin boards/spaces through Zumbudda’s Services, the information you submit may be read, collected, copied and used by other Users.
Updating Client Information
If a User or Expert wishes to update personally identifiable information such as a mailing address or if they wish to terminate a Zumbudda Service, Zumbudda will provide a way to opt-out, correct or update any of its Services. This can usually be done via their Expert/User account or by emailing our customer support at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Modifications and Termination of Zumbudda
Zumbudda reserves the right to modify, discontinue, temporarily or permanently the Zumbudda Services with or without notice. Zumbudda shall not be liable to User, Experts or any third party for any modification or discontinuance of Zumbudda’s Services or for any losses or damage that may result from such discontinuation or disruption of Service.
Zumbudda Users and Experts may at any time elect to terminate or suspend their account. This can usually be done via the Expert/User’s account or by emailing our customer support at email@example.com.
If a profile is terminated or discontinued by Zumbudda or an Expert/User, all personal information will be removed from our database permanently. However, this information will be stored for 6 months before termination. Survey submissions, enquiries and posts will not be deleted.
Zumbudda’s Services rely on various factors such as software, hardware and communication networks, suppliers and contractors. Therefore Zumbudda cannot guarantee uninterrupted Services and that it will be timely, secure or error-free.
Zumbudda may in its sole discretion and for any reason, terminate User or Expert participation on the Zumbudda’s Services and all future use.
Data transmissions over the Internet cannot be guaranteed to be fully and absolutely secure. Zumbudda’s Services have security measures in place designed to protect against the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control. Our security measures include the following:
Also note that, should you provide your personal details, your log-in details, on-line name, details of information and/or communication, etc. to any person, Zumbudda cannot be held liable for any breach of your privacy that may flow from such actions.
